Our Baby Room
We understand that choosing a nursery for your precious little one is an extremely important decision. From the first time you visit we will work with you to ensure that you feel confident that your baby will be in a safe warm and secure environment. Our baby room is from birth to 12 months of age. We will provide complimentary stay and play sessions to ensure you are both happy and settled prior to your baby’s first day at nursery.
We recognise that you, the parent/carer are the first and most important educator for your baby and that every baby is different, so with your support, we tailor your baby’s introduction to the nursery to suit both you and your baby’s individual needs. You will be introduced to your baby’s key person (key person definition on the parent’s page) when you start at nursery and will also be provided with a day diary where all-important daily information can be communicated.
To ensure we provide the continuity of care your baby receives at home, we follow each baby’s individual routine where possible. We promote and support breastfeeding, and encourage a baby-led atmosphere. The baby room offers a safe and nurturing space to play, roll, crawl, explore and enjoy messy activities, giving them opportunities to develop their physical and social skills. Once they reach the end of their first year they will be ready for their next adventures in our Tiny Tots room.
Our Tiny Tots Room
Following on from our baby room is our Tiny Tots room for ages 1 to 2 years of age. Our tiny tots have 3 rooms each divided into specific areas so that all their developmental needs can be planned and progressed alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. (Please see the parents page for further information on the EYFS). There is a separate sleep room with cots in a homely soft light atmosphere where they can sleep undisturbed with any favourite comforts. There is a room for crafts, activities, messy play & mealtimes. Mealtimes are always supported by their stage at home and fully supervised. Linked with free flow from/to the craft room is a further room offering a cosy sensory room providing our early learners with a lovely quiet atmosphere with a soft area for storytime, soft play, and activity toys all enhancing all their social and sensory development.
Venturing outdoors is essential in a child’s development and a very important element of their day at nursery. We go out in the buggies into the community, parks, duck pond, shops etc to visit many places of interest and nature. Our large garden is also used daily which offers a variety of areas to enjoy and explore. The tiny tots can play, learn and develop safely with many physical activities to enjoy. They can interact with their friends and with the other nursery children, enhancing their confidence, communication, and understanding of the environment around them. Our Tiny Tors room will give your little one a beneficial and secure stepping stone for their journey through the nursery and future life.
Our Toddler Room
We recognise that finding the right care for your treasured toddler is an extremely important decision. Your child may already be in our Tiny Tors room and be progressing to the Toddler Room, or you maybe choosing a nursery for the first time. Either way we will work with you to ensure you feel confident that your toddler will be in a safe, secure and educational environment. Our toddler room is from 2 to 3 years of age. We understand that you, the parent/carer are the first and most important educator for your toddler, and that every child is different, so with your support we will tailor your toddler’s introduction to suit both you and your toddlers’s individual needs. You will be introduced to your key person (keyperson definition on the parents page) when you start in our toddler room who will work closely with you and communicate all important daily information.
Our toddler room has been designed specifically to meet all areas of the EYFS Framework (EYFS definition on the parents page), whilst retaining a safe and secure home from home environment. We have 3 rooms for our toddlers to use during their day at nursery, with each room offering stimulating and learning opportunities. The large main room provides lots of interactive and exciting equipment with role play, puzzles, mathematics, music, small world and construction for children to choose independently and make their own choices about the activities they wish to take part in. It also offers a cosy soft area where the toddlers can read relax or nap if they wish. There are a further 2 rooms giving opportunities for smaller group time. A craft room which gives the children a chance to express their individual creativity with lots of fun, messy and malleable art work. This room gives the toddlers free access to sand, soil and water play and includes many planned activities such as drawing, painting, playdoh and baking. This room is also used for meal times where the children are encouraged to try lots of new tastes as they begin to develop new physical, creative and social skills.
We are passionate about exercise and the world around us from the earliest age, so all our children are given daily opportunities to catch some fresh air and be active learners in our secure garden leading directly out from the toddler room They are quickly expanding their independence and discovering many new abilities so the outdoors is essential in supporting and promoting this next step of their development. Our garden offers lots of space for the toddlers to walk, run, roll and play with their friends, whilst enjoying and exploring many of the physical and creative garden apparatus. We also take the children out of the nursery on trips, traveling on various modes of transport to learn about the natural environment and places of interest around them.
During their time in the toddler room, we will regularly communicate their learning and development with you in person and through the online tapestry diary and their day diaries. This is to ensure you are happy with their progress and achievements in all areas, and that any support or strategies needed for your child are put into place in order that they can be the best toddler they can be. By working closely together we are sure your treasured toddler will be prepared for their onward journey to Preschool and future life.

Our preschool room has been designed specifically to meet all areas of the EYFS Framework (EYFS definition on the parent’s page), whilst retaining a safe and secure home from home environment. We have 3 rooms for our preschool children to use during their day at nursery. All rooms are free to flow to one another, and also flow to the large outdoor garden, allowing the children’s choice of fun, stimulating and learning opportunities. The main room in preschool is a large room where the children start their day with register & circle time with a wake & shake sing and dance movement. The room has a quiet reading corner and many stimulating and educational open-ended resources available for the children to choose independently, making their own choices about the activities they wish to take part in. The room offers construction, musical, mathematical, literacy and natural resources all of which help the children build upon their social skills as they develop their individual personalities and engage in problem-solving, exploration, sharing and taking turns helping the children make progress towards their early learning goals.
There is a large room for table activities where the children can enjoy planned and independent interests. Malleable play, creative artwork, home baking, painting, mark-making, messy play, sand and water play are all practised to encourage and extend their possibilities and opportunities.
Mealtimes are always an enjoyable interactive time with the children being promoted to build upon many new personal and social skills such as sharing, trying lots of new tastes, washing up, using their fine motor skills and communication.
